Ramadan & Taraweeh Update COVID-19

Message from the House of the Believers (Islamic Center of Fort Pierce)

Asalamu'alykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

We hope this message finds you in the best of health. With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we are unfortunately forced to make some changes to our normal Ramadan routine at the Masjid. These changes are important for the safety of the community and our compliance with instructions from medical professionals and local authorities. Please take note of the following important information: 

• There will be no nightly iftar or dinner in the Masjid.​
• Salaatul Isha and Taraweeh will not be performed in the Masjid. Only the Imam and administration will conduct Salatul Isha and Taraweeh in the Masjid, for the purposes of live-streaming the video of the recitation and nightly messages to the community. Please do not pray following the live-stream, as that is not permitted and the prayer will be invalid. The purpose of the live-stream is for listening only.

Everyone is encouraged to performed Taraweeh prayers at home, as well as other acts of worship. You may pray in congregation with your family and recite whatever amount you know from the Qur'an. We will be monitoring the situation and will keep you updated if it becomes safe for us to return to our normal routine. Let us keep in mind that we should not let these setbacks impact our worship and spiritual growth during this blessed month. Please continue to make du'a for the community and take appropriate steps to stay safe.
