Muslim Cemetery

Baraka Center is a nonprofit Muslim cemetery that serves the Muslim community in the Treasure Coast area. We were able to purchase a 5+ acres located at the intersection of Midway Road and Christensen Road; which will accommodate inshallah approximately 2600 grave sites. The cemetery is conveniently located in Saint Lucie County, in close proximity to many of the local mosques.
The Cemetery serves and will continue to serve Muslim families around the area by providing low cost burial services. Our mission is to help families with the financial burden and the ritual support needed through their difficult time of grief. 

Burial Process

The Center will coordinate the entire burial process with the funeral home, which includes the following:

• Transportation of the deceased from the place of death to the Funeral Home.
• Arrangements to obtain all legal documents required (death certificate, burial or shipment permit, etc.).
• The Center provides specially trained volunteers to perform Ghusl (body wash).
• Ṣalāt al-Janāzah (صلاة الجنازة‎), the Islamic funeral prayer. The prayer is performed in congregation to seek pardon for the deceased and all dead Muslims.
