Coronavirus Jumu'ah Announcement

Asalamu'alykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

We hope this message finds you in the best of health. In order to combat and take precautions regarding the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the masjid will be taking some precautionary measures and we are asking for your cooperation during this difficult time. The government and various health professionals have stressed the importance of avoiding large crowds and social distancing. Please read the following carefully and please take this situation seriously. Our ability to perform Jumu'ah during this time depends on your level of cooperation and understanding. 

• Women, children, individuals with chronic medical conditions, and other high risk individuals should NOT attend the Jumu'ah congregation.
• If you are having symptoms such as fever, dry cough, or shortness of breath, DO NOT attend the Jumu'ah congregation.
• Perform wudhu and use the restroom before coming to the masjid. 
• We will be performing multiple, small congregations for Jumu'ah to prevent a large crowd of people. Each congregation will take about 10-15 minutes and then the next congregation will occur. 
• The congregations will begin at 1:30PM and last until approximately 2:30PM. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME. 
• We will be praying outside, as it will be difficult to disinfect the masjid between each congregation. 
• When you arrive please remain in your car until it is your turn to join the congregation. DO NOT MINGLE WITH OTHERS OUTSIDE THE MASJID. 
• As soon as you finish praying, please exit the Masjid property immediately so we do not have a crowd of people mingling with one another. 
• DO NOT SHAKE HANDS, HUG, OR ENGAGE IN UNNECESSARY CONTACT WITH ONE ANOTHER. Salaam can be said verbally without touching. 
• Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing using your arm or a tissue paper.
•  If possible, please bring a personal prayer rug (Jaanamaz/Musallah) with you to pray on.
